Social Department

We are a diverse team of social workers and social service workers. Our common goal is to pull together with people with mental illness. We are here for our clients and for you too. We are mental illness guides for anyone who needs help. So do not hesitate to contact any of our services that might be useful to you.

SOCIAL COUNSELLING

Social counselling is the provision of necessary information on the possibilities of solving an unfavourable social situation or on ways of preventing it. Mental illness can cause a number of difficulties in different life situations.

SHELTERED HOUSING

We help people with serious mental illnesses such as psychosis or affective disorders who are currently undergoing outpatient psychiatric treatment to acquire the skills needed to live independently so that they can lead a normal and, above all, happy life.

Social rehabilitation

The mission of the Social Rehabilitation Service is to help develop and strengthen the skills and abilities of people with experience of serious mental illness. The aim is to support the resolution of their adverse social situation so that they can live an independent and happy life.

Mgr. Milan Bednář

/ Social worker
  • He graduated from the Dance Conservatory in Prague, which led him to an eight-year career as a dancer at the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ústí nad Labem.
  • During this time he studied leisure time pedagogy (education) at UJEP.
  • Since 2019 he has worked for five years as a teaching assistant and tutor at Školní Primary School in Prague.
  • Since 2024, he has been working as a social worker in DPS Ondřejov. This work attracted him due to its variety, diversity and individual approach to clients.
  • In his spare time he enjoys martial arts, yoga, weight training, sauna, hiking and completing his master's degree in social pedagogy at UJEP.
