Social Department

We are a diverse team of social workers and social service workers. Our common goal is to pull together with people with mental illness. We are here for our clients and for you too. We are mental illness guides for anyone who needs help. So do not hesitate to contact any of our services that might be useful to you.

SOCIAL COUNSELLING

Social counselling is the provision of necessary information on the possibilities of solving an unfavourable social situation or on ways of preventing it. Mental illness can cause a number of difficulties in different life situations.

SHELTERED HOUSING

We help people with serious mental illnesses such as psychosis or affective disorders who are currently undergoing outpatient psychiatric treatment to acquire the skills needed to live independently so that they can lead a normal and, above all, happy life.

Social rehabilitation

The mission of the Social Rehabilitation Service is to help develop and strengthen the skills and abilities of people with experience of serious mental illness. The aim is to support the resolution of their adverse social situation so that they can live an independent and happy life.

Mgr. et Mgr. Jana Raclavská

/ Social worker
  • She originally studied philosophy and history at, then through various volunteer activities she got a degree in social work.
  • She has been working with people with mental illness since 2019, has worked in a sheltered workplace and has been involved in a project looking at student mental health, and has been at St Andrew's since 2023.
  • She is a participant in the systemic psychotherapy training. Her professional interest is the self-actualisation of people with mental health difficulties.
