Everyday life brings challenging situations and periods of increased stress. For people who are being treated for a psychotic illness, stressful stimuli can lead to a return of symptoms - a so-called relapse. This can cause difficulties in normal functioning or lead to hospitalisation.
The Birch therefore offers a safe space where participants learn to strengthen their inner resources, better manage stress and prevent relapse.
"The program teaches how to stand firm, even when strong winds are blowing around. It offers skills to help withstand stress and find inner balance again."
- Mgr. Miroslav Živnůstka and Mgr. Vendula Cígnerová, programme leader
