Music therapy is a therapeutic activity that uses music as a means of self-knowledge, emotional regulation and self-empowerment. It works with simple rhythmic and melodic instruments, the voice, listening and the silent space between sounds. Music is used here not only to release tension but also as a tool for non-verbal expression. The group form promotes perception of others, coordination and a sense of belonging. Active musical experience is not a prerequisite.
