Birch - a programme to promote psychological resilience

The programme is designed for people with psychotic illnesses who would like to strengthen their ability to cope with stressful situations and promote psychological resilience.

In everyday life we encounter challenging situations and periods of increased stress. It is therefore important to have sufficient internal resources to cope with them. For people who are being treated for a psychotic illness, stressful situations can also lead to a return of symptoms. This reappearance of symptoms is called a relapse and can lead to difficulties in normal daily functioning or hospitalization.

In the Birch Therapy Program, we want to support your resilience and offer some techniques to manage stress. The program takes the form of group sessions. In the first part, the group is free to share and in the second part, we focus on specific techniques and exercises for stress management or relaxation (e.g. autogenic training, mindfulness, etc.). We will also be doing education on better recognizing early signs of illness...
